POW! Exterminating, Inc. & Bug Squad have more options to choose from! When deciding how to treat your Drywood Termites, not every homeowner wants a fumigation and not every home needs one. However, every treatment is a home by home recommendation, therefore, only a skilled techinician can tell you what your home needs. That is why we offer a FREE TERMITE INSPECTION! You have nothing to lose and just knowledge to gain about who is invading your home.
Termite Inspection Reports are actually a lot more than just inspecting for termites. For example, the Structural Pest Control Board requires a report for Wood Destroying Organisms. That means not just termites but beetles, fungus, dry rot, and so on. Not to worry, we handle them all.
Just a side note, there are two main types of termites infesting Southern California, Drywood Termites and Subterranean Termites. Fumigation and Alternative Methods of Treamtment are for Drywood Termites. Subterranean Termites take a different procedure and if you are interested in reading more about Subs please continue to the Subterranean Termites page.
TYPES OF ALTERNATIVE METHODS (AKA LOCAL/SPOT TREATMENTS)
Treatments applied to areas of the property where termite or wood destroying organisms are currently or have left evidence of infestation. We offer a 1 year guarantee for Local/Spot Treatments as compared to the 2 year guarantee for a fumigation. In addition, we offer Maintenance Programs for all types of termite, pest, or rodent control problems. Termite Annuals are offered for the continued protection against termites. Listed below are the several Local/Spot Treatments that we offer.
ORANGE OIL
Orange Oil is a type of Local/Spot Treatment and may be recommended by your technincian. The main ingredient in orange oil is d-limonene which is an essential oil produced by the glands inside the rind of an orange fruit. Orange Oil kills termites and their eggs on contact.
FOAMING
Foaming Treatments may be recommended for the elimination of drywood termites, fungus, dry rot, and any other wood destroying organisms. Foaming treatments are injected into the infected area and eliminate the wood destroying organisms while absorbing into the treated area.
